Álvaro Longoria is a producer and director, and one of the founders of Morena Films. Holding a degree cum laude in Business Administration from Boston University, he subsequently got a master’s degree in the same field from the New York University Stern School of Business. He is a member of the Hollywood Academy (Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences).
As a producer, Álvaro has developed and produced some of the most successful feature films in the Spanish market in recent years, as well as films that have received international attention.
In his role as a director, Álvaro is focused on the development and direction of documentaries, a genre about which he is passionate. In 2013 he won a Goya award for Best Documentary for Hijos de las nubes; since then he has directed feature-length documentary films with long runs and international impact.
