Black Water Green Gold” follows an indigenous community in Central Mexico fighting to save Lake Pátzcuaro from the impacts of globalization and climate change. The documentary highlights three individuals: Carlos, who balances tradition and family; Santiago, who advocates for ecological and community autonomy; and Tona, who upholds cultural traditions. It reveals their struggles with declining water levels, wildfires, and insecurity while showcasing their determination to preserve their environment and heritage.
